Justice made a mockery by Deepali's professional treachery – Has there ever been a worse prostitution of officialdom by a judge ?

(Lanka-e-News-23.Nov.2011, 2.30PM) Justice Ms. Deepali Wijayasundara the High court judge who gave an outrageous verdict in the white flag case defying all respected norms, practices and hollowed traditions of the judiciary arena, not only degraded her own dignity but even disgraced the entire judiciary , whereby the faith of the people in the judicial processes has been undermined most shamelessly and on an unprecedented scale, not to mention the denting of its image even before the whole world. She has stooped so low as to install secretive cameras in the High court to permit the President of the country , the regime chief and his brother Gotabaya , better known as Bayagotha (paranoid Gotha) to follow the court proceedings on the sly, according to reports reaching Lanka e news.

This is the first time in a country in the world where there exists Democracy, a judge had acted so sordidly prostituting her lofty official position to serve the evil political ambitions and agendas of rulers. It is an unequivocal truth that an independent judiciary is an indispensable, intimate and integral part of a truly Democratic state… Therefore justice Deepali's actions to say the least are most despicable and deplorable from every angle of the judicial sphere .

Justice Deepali Wijesundara by installing secretive cameras in the High court and after connecting dedicated cables from the Sri Lanka telecom (SLT) had facilitated the regime chief and Bayagotha to follow the white flag case court proceedings from their offices ,wherever they are. While listening to and viewing the case via this system , Regime chief and Bayagotha had been issuing instructions to Deepali Wijesundara as to how the case shall be conducted and decided; and she has acted accordingly.

This type of degenerate disgraceful conduct by a judge and a regime are witnessed only where there is a military rule and not in Democratic countries. Yet, we are in receipt of evidence testifying to the fact that this depravity has indeed taken place.

It is based on these video clips that investigation is going to be instituted against the lawyers who are supposed to have committed contempt of court on the day the verdict was delivered in the white flag case. According to latest reports , Deepali and her unscrupulous clan have explored the possibility of filing criminal action against them while also getting ready to complain to the chief justice to take disciplinary action.

Meanwhile the lawyers on the other hand casting away their party differences are gearing to make complaints about the unsavory actions and unscrupulous conduct of Deepali which disgraced the entire judicial profession to the chef justice , and the International legal and judicial Organizations .

Apart from this unscrupulous action of under the counter ‘camera conspiracy', there are other charges of corruption associated with her career. Hereunder are some of the corrupt career activities.

As earlier revealed by Lanka e news , she has been granting bail only to clients of Lawyers Bete Govinna and Raveendra Silva giving them special preference. These Lawyers collect fees of Rs. 25 to 30 lakhs from each client after promising to get bail for the suspects. These Lawyers who collect these fees pocket five lakhs each ,and credit the balance amount of Rs. 20 lakhs to a separate account . When other lawyers are refused bail for their clients by Deepali , and when bail is to be sought at the appeal court in such instances , Lawyers Govinna and Raveendra Silva had openly been telling , if Rs. 25 lakhs can be offered as fee to them , they would secure bail for the suspects based on the confidence they enjoy via the underhand relationship they have with Deepali .

This ‘bail racket' business has been so acute and sordid that in three murder cases where Govinna and Raveendra Silva appeared, the three accused in them were granted bail despite these accused having previous charges tainting them bby Deepali Wijesundara thereby violating bail order legal provisions. In the popular ‘Jeena madam' case , even after the Attorney General's Dept. having not objected to granting bail to the 65 year old suspect , Deepali refused granting of bail because her henchmen , lawyers Govinna or Ravindra Silva were not appearing on behalf of the suspect. This refusal was a violation of the bail order provisions .

According to the bail register , Deepali has granted bail on about 70 occasions influenced by monetary gains violating the bail order provisions.

Following complaints made by some Lawyers to the chief Justice (CJ) , the CJ had instructed the bail applications made to Deepali to be given over to High court 7 judge, Paduman Subasena.

Lawyers are inquiring into whether there is an illicit relationship between Deepali owing to her underhand deals with her sidekick Bete Govinna. They claim that the amount of money amassed by Deepali based on these sordid deals exceeds Rs. 100 million and they are therefore preparing to arrange investigation of her assets . This group of Lawyers are probing whether Deepali's illicit accumulation of money have been deposited in the Bank account in the name of one of her sisters Chandra Weeraratne who is working as a court reporter for Island newspapers.

Meanwhile the putrid background of the other judge Raseen who was a party to the atrocious and iniquitous judgment delivered in the white flag case is also coming to the foreground. When she was a judge at the Galkissa District court she had delivered judgments based on tossing a coin. Many of the registrars who worked under her had been subjected to torment because she was overbearing taking advantage of her position. Several of them are now ready to forward sworn affidavits in support of their allegations against her.
