A leaflet campaign under the theme 'Struggle against unfair taxes people are burdened with' was held by the JVP at Colombo Fort Railway Station yesterday (30th) to protest against the move by the government to burden the masses with the economic crisis it is confronted with by increasing VAT to 15% and imposing unbearable taxes.
The General Secretary of the JVP Tilvin Silva, Members of its Political Bureau K.D. Lal Kantha and Sunil Handunneththi, Provincial Councilors Mahinda Jayasinghe, Sarath Pathirana, Sunil Watagala were present.
